Yesterday was a perfect winter day. After snowfall on Thursday and Friday, the sun came out, it warmed up to close to freezing and it was just superb…..
Anybody work out how this came to be?
I’m going to say that you’ve discovered the frozen Canadian equivalent of crop circles. Don’t abuse your new celebrity status.
“Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail?” Job 38:22 Awesome pictures. It reached about 5 degrees (F) here today and the rest of the week is supposed to be cold also.
Have a blessed day in Christ
Oh that it would warm up to the near freezing mark. It is currently minus 13 degrees Fahrenheit and is going to warm up today to minus 3 or 4 not counting the will chill. The pictures are beautiful. Nothing like that time right after a fresh snow, nothing quite like it at all.
Blessings in Christ Jesus.
PS the problem yesterday was with my server. I ended up not being able to email hardly anyone. They all but two came back yesterday and I am yet to know if those two were actually received. Sorry. Susan’s response was great though.
HokiePundit – Heh, it does seem that way doesn’t it 🙂
Timbob – And also with you! Where abouts are you then? In the NE of North America somewhere I’d guess…
Phil – Well, it’s short lived for us, our temps are very varied (-20c on hour, +10c the next, -20c the hour after, and I’m not kidding!) This week we are going to see see temps dropping down to the -20c’s – so we will be in the deep freeze again 🙂
thx 4 visiting with me. blessings!
I love the pictures…. so you are a photographer as well… what other surprises are up your sleeve Peter?
And sorry guys, but it was in the 50s here yesterday and may get up to 60 tomorrow, with sunshine no less.
Guess I’ll have to take some pictures to remind you what its like 🙂
The concentric circles in the ice are great, so.. how does that happen?
Blessing to all, and may the Lord warm your hearts with his fire!
You’re welcome KA – I really liked the poem.
H Susan – I can only take the credit for some of the pictures, most are down to my better half! Anyway, we got up to 50F yesterday, down to 14F today with freezing rain. Such is Calgary.
I don’t know about the circles – I was hoping somebody could tell me!
Spectacular pictures Peter. We had a couple of days recently with unbroken blue sky, but no snow as you’d expect living on a small island surrounded by sea.
I wonder if that circular/spiral impression is God’s fingerprint! But then the whole natural world is a reflection of His handiwork. Practically, Mike thinks it was caused by a fish or a stone being thrown.
Glad you like them 🙂
Well, I’m not sure how the stone could have caused it – it was concentric ripples in the ice. If it was human made, it was very well done as it’s very precise. Puzzling……
I lOve these pictues
Glad you do 🙂
